# Programmable Addresses

> Use deposit addresses to route USDC to a Solana wallet or a Circle Gateway balance.

Programmable Addresses let you integrate deposits by giving users an EVM address to fund. Eco's service monitors deposits and submits the transactions needed to create a [Routes intent](/routes/overview). A solver then fulfills the destination action.

## Choose a deposit flow

Check the supported sources in the guide for your flow. Routes API chain support does not imply support for every deposit-address flow.

## How funding works

For either flow, the sender can make a USDC transfer to the returned address and pay the source-chain gas. The ERC-20 transfer does not itself execute the deposit contract: Eco's service detects the balance and submits the subsequent transactions.

Circle Gateway deposits also support [gasless funding](/programmable-addresses/funding-methods) through ERC-3009 or EIP-2612 signatures. Use the API response to obtain the address and amount to sign for.

## Track the outcome

Separate source funding, intent publication, and destination delivery in your integration. A successful funding transaction or deployed contract does not confirm that the recipient has received funds.

The guides explain the status fields for each flow and the available delivery checks. Refund eligibility and completed refunds are also distinct states; do not mark funds returned until you have confirmed the refund.
